Description
G&T.Comenta integrates a corpus of commentaries and research activities of the Grammar & Text research group of CLUNL focused on the description and understanding of language practices related to commentaries.
G&T.Comenta aims to study the commentary and its categorization as an activity of language and textual practice, through the analysis of a corpus created for this purpose. A better knowledge of commentary practices is aimed. The gender categorization combines the study of forms and constructions (at the grammatical level) with the analysis of the textual and discursive organization convened in the commentaries.
The corpus was created by collecting a set of texts with circulation in different media and from different sources (newspapers, magazines, social networks). The collection was based on a common principle: to present the term “comment(s)” and/or “commentator”. Based on all the texts collected and contextual criteria, the material was catalogued and a database was created.
