Description

MOCOLANG-O aims at building and testing an operational ontological model (OWL) on concepts relating to disorders in Speech and Language Therapy (affecting language, communication and oromotor skills). It is interdisciplinary (SLT, linguistics, terminology and descriptive logic) and focuses on temporality as an entry point. This ontological resource called TemPO (TEMporalité, Pathologie orthophonique, Ontologie) uses some characteristics previously deducted from semantic and syntactic analyses performed on two different specialised corpora in various projects. The ontological resource will be tested with a pilot trilingual terminology and a new corpus gathering specialised texts from the ISTEX platform (https://www.istex.fr). It is part of a 3 step multilingual project aiming at harmonising European SLT terminology in order to facilitate communication between health professionals and patients.
