EuroSLA 35 – 35th Annual Conference of the European Second Language Association

The Research Center for Linguistics (CLUNL) at NOVA University Lisbon is proud to announce that the 35th Annual Conference of the European Second Language Association (EuroSLA 35) will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 24 to 27 June 2026.

As the world’s leading conference on second language acquisition, EuroSLA 35 will bring together top researchers from around the globe to share the latest work on second language acquisition, processing, and teaching, across the lifespan and in diverse educational and social settings. The conference also highlights research on multilingualism, heritage language development, and the many cognitive, social, and contextual factors that shape language acquisition.

This edition will also be a milestone: for the first time, the EuroSLA conference will be held in Portugal.
