CLUNL doctoral students take part in the Research Skills Development Course

Ana Sofia Souto and Yolanda Xavier, PhD students from CLUNL, attended the course Research Skills Development Course – RSD, organised by NOVA University Lisbon.

This is a residential course (four days and three nights) that aims to address a set of transversal academic skills (e.g. communication, teamwork, time management).

Ana Sofia Souto is a PhD student in Linguistics, specializing in Text and Discourse Linguistics (research group G&T), with a FCT research grant (ref.: 2021.04523.BD), and is carrying out research focused on characterizing the “manifesto” discourse genre in Portugal.

Yolanda Xavier is a PhD student in Linguistics, specializing in Psycholinguistics (research group LiFE), with a FCT research grant (ref.: 2022.13977.BD), and is carrying out research into the effects of pronunciation on linguistic stereotypes and prejudices.
