Doctor in Linguistics and integrated member of the Linguistics Research Center of NOVA, Susana Duarte Martins teaches Portuguese Language and Culture for Foreigners at NOVA FCSH. Currently, she is coordinating the project “TERMVEST – The Clothing Terminology: European Portuguese version“, in partnership with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She was a linguist project manager in an international company, with which she continues to cooperate as a linguist. She performs research work in the areas of Lexicology, Lexicography, and Terminology, foreign language, and language for specific purposes teaching as well as Phonetics and Text-To-Speech technologies. Besides linguistic proofreading, she has experience and training in creative writing, screenwriting, and journalism. She was a teacher of Portuguese L1 and Portuguese L2 for the Ministry of Education.
