Holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Lisbon and has developed work in historical linguistics, in particular in the diachrony of negation. She has collaborated on investigation projects in the Center of Linguistics of the University of Lisbon, where she worked on pos tagging, syntactic annotation of corpora, transcription revision, translation, among other tasks.
She is currently an investigator at CLUNL, in the Grammar and Text group, working in historical linguistics.
