New corpus available: MIGRANTE.PT
CLUNL makes available to the public the corpus MIGRANTE.PT, an European Portuguese corpus for specific purposes with around 1,5 million tokens of institutional texts concerning the integration of migrants in Portugal and directed to these migrants, collected from websites and materials freely available online.
MIGRANTE.PT comprises different types of texts from different sources. Those include The High Commissariat for Migration (ACM), the Portuguese Refugees Council (CPR), and governmental and non-governmental institutions, such as Caritas, National Entity for Health Regulation (ERS) and Migrations Observatory (OM), among others.
The MIGRANTE.PT corpus results from the project EXPRIMI, a project in course at CLUNL, which includes researchers from its three research groups and counts on the collaboration and expertise of the Portuguese Refugees Council.
