Susana Duarte Martins will present the paper “Novo Acordo Ortográfico do Português: Factos e Mitos” (New Portuguese Orthographic Agreement: Facts and Myths), by invitation of the Iberoamerican Cultural Centre in Moscow.

In this presentation, Susana Duarte Martins will unveil several linguistic myths created around the New Orthographic Agreement, the main reasons for its existence, its chronology within the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries and what has changed with its application.

The target audience is the students of the Iberoamerican Cultural Centre in Moscow with basic knowledge of the Portuguese language, but the event is open to anyone interested in the subject.

The event will be held online, today, May 5, at 3:00pm.
Participation is free, but registration is mandatory.
