New communication project in partnership with Pfizer
NOVA FCSH is developing, in collaboration with Pfizer Portugal and the Portuguese Association of Hemophilia, a project which aim is to adapt the scientific language of gene therapy to a language understandable by the general public.
The project “Caring Communication: gene therapy in the context of hemophilia” is being developed by an interdisciplinary team led by Maria Grazia Rossi (researcher at IFILNOVA and faculty member of the department of Communication Sciences at NOVA FCSH) in collaboration with Raquel Silva, researcher at NOVA CLUNL and Value for Health – CoLAB. The team also includes Rute Costa, Sandro Loupa and Sara Carvalho, researchers at NOVA CLUNL, and researchers both from IFILNOVA, ICNOVA and NOVA FCT.
The project, which is part of a broader partnership between the NovaSaúde – Chronic Disease and Infection group at NOVA University Lisbon and Pfizer, will be developed on research already conducted in the areas of health communication, terminology, health literacy, and dissemination of scientific knowledge by team members.
