Práticas Textuais 18|19 aims to present the work carried out within the scope of two course units – “Práticas Textuais” (Textual Practices) and “Linguística do Texto” (Text Linguistics) – offered by the Linguistics Department at School of Social Sciences and Humanities of NOVA University Lisbon, along the school year 2018-2019.

Structured around two parts (Text and Critical Stance and Text and Society), this work has sought to develop a solid education associated with self-reflection, innovation and the creation of capabilities that simultaneously encourage and lead the students to act as protagonists of an inclusive and innovative society (and not merely passive agents).

May this publication generally promote reflection around text practices, and particularly in the academic context – being an instigator of other (renewed) forms of involvement and development through writing.
