Ana Salgado, a researcher from NOVA CLUNL’s LLT group, is taking part in the workshop Lexicografia e sustentabilidade linguística: documentação do mirandês com recurso à Wikidata (“Lexicography and linguistic sustainability: documenting Mirandese using Wikidata”).

The researcher will give the first talk of the event, entitled: Componentes estruturais para um dicionário mirandês (“Structural components for a Mirandese dictionary”).

This workshop, which will take place on January 16, 2025, at the University of Porto, aims to analyze lexicography as a fundamental discipline for linguistic documentation, using Wikidata/Wikibase as an open and collaborative platform, connected to the semantic and multilingual web. The case study will be Mirandese, recognized as Portugal’s second official language in 1999.
