Antónia Estrela, researcher at LiFE – Formal and Experimental Linguistics research group of CLUNL, collaborated with Otília Costa e Sousa, Patrícia Santos Ferreira and Sandrina Esteves in the coordination of Investigação e Práticas em Leitura (Research and Practices in Reading).

The edition of this ebook is the result of a “selection of research works and considerations developed around a central issue of contemporary societies: the training of literate citizens for  using reading and writing critically” (translated freely from “seleção trabalhos de investigação e reflexões desenvolvidos em torno de uma problemática central das sociedades contemporâneas: formar cidadãos letrados capazes de intervir usando de forma crítica a leitura e a escrita” in Introdução).
