Pedro Caeiro graduated in Portuguese Language and Culture (Foreign Language) at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon in 2003. He spent two years as a Teaching Assistant of Instituto Camões at the University of Toronto, Canada, where he taught Composition and Oral Practice, and Stylistics and Syntax. Pedro worked at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon for ten years teaching Portuguese Language and Culture, from A1 to C1 levels. Since 2015 he teaches Portuguese for general and specific purposes at Instituto Português do Oriente, and, since 2005, he is an examiner for Centro de Avaliação de Português Língua Estrangeira. He is currently conducting his PhD reasearch in Language Teaching – Multilinguism and Education for a Global Citizenship (NOVA FCSH/Universidade Aberta) with the thesis “Using authentic materials with A1 non-native learners of Portuguese for Specific Purposes”.
